Our Family History

Stacy Cunningham-Welch’s great grandfather, Ucal Cunningham, started Cunningham Oil in 1928 as a Gulf Oil distributor on the Halifax river where Caribbean Jack’s restaurant is today. Ucal’s son Gary took it over in 1952 and grew the business until he passed it along to his nephew Lee Cunningham-Culler, Stacy’s father. Stacy Cunningham-Welch took over the business in 2012 upon the passing of her father. Over the years, Cunningham has grown from a fuel oil company to include HVAC, propane and duct cleaning. In 2004 Cunningham acquired Daytona Gas and Grills which added Big Green Egg, propane grills, pellet grills, outdoor fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, torches, firepits, and 93 Octane ethanol gas.
